Program Objectives
The following are educational objectives set forth by the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Iowa. Our objective is that all students graduating from the program have the ability to:
- identify, formulate, and solve open-ended problems with medical relevance, including the design of devices, systems, and processes to improve human health;
- pursue a wide range of career options, including those in industry, academia, and medicine; and
- advance to leadership positions in their chosen field.
